Description | 1. The control of roaches, ants, silverfish, fleas, ticks, spiders and other insects not listed 2. The control of flies at Fire Station #9 by timed released sprays or equivalent 3. The control of rats, mice and snakes 4. The word “CONTROL” is defined as the periodic eradication of existing infestation within practical limits. 5. Fogging or onetime special treatment of facilities to control pests are included in the contract. 6. The materials used in pest control services shall conform to Federal, State and Local ordinances and laws, and shall be acceptable to the City. The Contractor shall comply in every respect with Federal, State and Local laws, ordinances, etc., relating to the performance of the contract. 7. Special care shall be exercised in the use of liquid insecticides in areas having an asphaltic, mastic, or linoleum floor surface. Professional care should be taken not to discolor or damage carpet or furniture in any buildings owned by the City of Durham 8. The Contractor’s pest control service technician shall provide pest control services once a month except for Fleet Maintenance. This area shall require two inspections per month during the months of April through November in order to achieve effective pest and rodent control. Rodenticide as well as other methods shall be used with all due precaution to eliminate the possibility of risks to health and safety of humans, domestic animals. An odorless chemical is preferred. 8. The Contractor’s pest control service technician shall make additional visits and treatments as they are deemed necessary. The Contractor is required to respond within thirty (30) minutes. |
