The removal, disposal and backfill of 3 fuel storage tanks located at 620 S. Juliette Ave.: Tank Five, 8,000 Gallon Unleaded Fuel Tank Six, 8,000 Gallon Diesel, Clear Fuel Tank Seven, 2,000 Gallon Unleaded Fuel Questions concerning this bid can be directed to Jeff Davis, Street and Fleet Superintendent, at 785-587-4540 or by email at davisj@cityofmhk.com. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance and Maintenance Bond, legally issued, meeting the approval of and running to the Owner, in an amount not less than the total Contract price of the proposed improvements, conditioned upon the prompt, full and complete performance by the Contractor of his covenants and agreement contained in the Contract Documents. The CONTRACTOR will commence the work required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the NOTICE TO PROCEED and will complete the same within January 31, 2023, unless the period for completion is extended otherwise by the Contract Documents. Liquidated Damages shall be assessed for failure to complete the work as required and described in this Contract in the timeframe set forth by the Contract Documents pursuant to section 6.0108 in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per Calendar Day.
