Description | All interior surfaces including interior riser pipe shall be cleaned utilizing abrasive blasting, per SSPC-SP10, “near white finish”. After surface prep is complete, all dust, spent abrasive and debris shall be removed by high-pressure air, vacuum cleaning or brushing. Blasted interior surfaces shall receive one coat of Tnemec Series N140. (4-6 dry mils) Beige in color. The interior surfaces shall then receive one Stripe coat of Tnemec series N140, where all welded/lap seams and pitted areas shall be coated with a roller and brush. The interior surfaces shall then receive one (1) coat of Tnemec series N140. (5-6 dry mils) White in color. After interior renovation is complete, all exterior surfaces shall be pressure washed entirely utilizing a 3500 psi and rotating tip to remove all loose dirt, dust, mildew, loose coating and other foreign matter in combination with a chlorine base solution. All exterior rusted areas shall be tool cleaned per SSPC-SP2, “Hand Tool Cleaning”, SSPC-SP3, “Power Tool Cleaning”. All exterior hand tool cleaned surfaces shall be spot primed with Tnemec Series 1, Omnitane. Next, all exterior surfaces shall receive one (1) full intermediate Coat of Tnemec Series 135 Chembuild or Tnemec Series 27 Typoxy. (3-5 dry mils)All exterior surfaces shall then receive one (1) full coat of Tnemec series 73 Endura-Shield. (2-3 dry mils). Concrete foundation shall also receive one (1) full coat of Tnemec Series Concrete Coating. The following repairs are to be included: caulk base of steel tank to fill in gaps between steel base and concrete foundation, drill holes in catwalk to prevent ponding, install screen to overflow pipe to meet AWWA standards. Level indicator shall be adjusted. Interior surfaces shall be disinfected utilizing chlorine spray Method #2 per AWWA guidelines. Tank shall be sealed, locked and ready for service. | ||||||||||||||
