Guardrail Fy 2021 - 2022

Furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, and services required for guardrail modifications and installation at two locations: Iron Springs Road: Replacement of one 800` guardrail run on Iron Springs Road at Mile 4.7 with 700 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6` steel posts) and 2 TL-3 MSKT guardrail end terminals. In addition, 210 cubic yards of imported fill shall be placed behind guardrail to build up embankment, existing concrete curb shall be removed to allow for a 2` wide shoulder overlay of 3" new asphaltic concrete with PG 64-22 binder, 515` of new AC extruded curb shall be installed; 37 tons of new asphaltic concrete is estimated for the project. Beaver Creek Road: Replacement of 4 guardrail runs that are currently connected to the concrete barriers on Beaver Creek Bridge. The project includes the removal of 180 linear feet of existing guardrail and 4 guardrail transitions to the concrete barriers, the installation of 4 new TL-2 rated Thrie-Beam Guardrail Transition Systems per Texas DOT Standard Drawing GF(31)TR TL2-19, the installation of 50 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6` steel posts), and 4 new TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminals. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.
