Description

Question Deadline 03/16/2023 at 12:00 PM This is an Agreement in which the Contractor shall design, supply, install and activate a complete automatic Water-Based Fire Protection System (FPS) for the Statewide Medication Distribution Project (SWMD II). The Contractor will be compensated for the services in accordance with the service rates specified on Exhibit B-1, Public Works Rate Sheet; which shall include all labor, design, engineering, equipment parts, devices, materials, programming, tools, installation, supervision, inspection, training, permits, licenses, insurance, bond, transportation, travel and per diem and every other expense necessary to provide services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) This an Agreement in which the Contractor shall design, supply, install and activate a complete automatic Water-Based Fire Protection System (FPS) for the Statewide Medication Distribution Project (SWMD II). The Contractor will be compensated for the services in accordance with the service rates specified on Exhibit B-1, Public Works Rate Sheet; which shall include all labor, design, engineering, equipment parts, devices, materials, programming, tools, installation, supervision, inspection, training, permits, licenses, insurance, bond, transportation, travel and per diem and every other expense necessary to provide services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Inmate/Ward Labor Program (IWL) at California State Prison Sacramento, 100 Prison Rd, Represa, CA 95671. 2. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES The Contractor shall provide demolition of existing system, new piping and fire protection installation, seismic bracing, pipe markers, valve tags, equipment nameplates, and all other items deemed necessary and in accordance with the Plans and Specifications, including the tie-in to the existing fire sprinkler main. All work identified will be completed in the Medical Distribution Rooms (MDR), Dining Room Area of Housing Unit A1/A2, A3/A4, A5/A6, B3/B4 and B7/B8. The Contractor shall engineer and furnish a new and complete FPS and provide the following: Design, materials and installation that conforms to applicable Codes and Regulations and as identified in the project Plans and Specifications Design based on as-built conditions and field conditions Visually inspect the existing system to identify condition of sprinkler heads, valves, tags, signs, pipe, fittings, wire, flow alarms etc. Supply and install all necessary items to complete system and bring online. Such items are sprinkler heads, valves, tags, signs, pipe, fittings, wire, flow alarms etc. as needed Coordinate the routing of the pipes, valves, wire, and flow alarms etc. locations with the I/WL Site Supervisor Work with the I/WL Site Supervisor and cooperate with CDCR staff and all trades during all phases of work to resolve design or field conflicts Technical support and a minimum of eight (8) hours of factory certified training on operation and maintenance to CDCR staff, upon project completion Be present for and perform all Acceptance and Testing of equipment and devices with the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Final as-built documents, and Operations and Maintenance data at completion of project
