Description | GENERAL: The Town of Clayton requests lump sum bids from qualified contractors to construct the project in accordance with Attachments 1 through 4. Walk at East Village Phase 3 is located off of Front Street in Clayton NC. The parcel tag is 05037010E, and the pin number is 166807-59-0929. It is at the rear of the existing Walk at East Village development. The development is a 86 lots, and the project consists of installing underground power to the subdivision. That is part 1 of the project. Part 2 consists of a backfeed to a transformer in a neighboring development. Part 2 will be completed within 6 months of completing part 1. Please include the price of part 1 and 2 in the final bid INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PREPARING AND SUBMITTING YOUR BID. All bids shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with the following requirements. Failure to comply with any requirement shall cause the bid to be considered irregular and shall be grounds for rejection of the bid. 1. The bid form furnished by TOWN OF CLAYTON with the invitation to bid shall be used and shall not be altered in any manner. 2. The Bidder shall submit a lump sum bid for the project. 3. All bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days 4. The bid shall be properly executed. All bids shall show the following information: a. Name of individual, firm, corporation, partnership, or joint venture submitting bid. b. Name of individual or representative submitting bid and position or title. 5. The bid shall not contain any unauthorized additions, deletions, or conditional bids. 6. The Bidder possess a valid Unlimited PU (Electrical - Ahead of P.O.D.) license as issued by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. 7. The Bidder shall submit their safety manual for review with the bid 8. The bidder shall not add any provision reserving the right to accept or reject an award, or to enter into a contract pursuant to an award. 9. This submittals request is neither a contractual offer nor a commitment to purchase services. The Town assumes no contractual obligation as a result of the issuance of this request, the preparation or submission of a bid by a Respondent, the evaluation of statements, or final selection. All emailed questions must be received by 12:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, June 22. No questions or requests for clarifications will be accepted after this time. Responses to questions will be emailed and issued in the form of an addendum and issued by 5:00 PM., Eastern Standard Time on Friday, June 24, 2022 (if needed). The issuance of such written responses is the only official method by which interpretation, clarification or additional information will be given by the Town. Only requests answered by formal written responses will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. |
