Steel Casing Pipe Under Highway 28

This project consists of the construction of approximately 240 L.F. of new 12” steel casing pipe from the western Right-of-way of Hwy 28 and under the roadway. The pipe will be located approximately 450 feet south-southwest from the intersection of Hwy 283 and Hwy 28. More specifically the project includes crossing under Hwy 28 by jack and bore from the western Right-of-way beginning 13 feet west of the Right-of-way limits and extending 240 feet and ending 37 feet from the existing edge of pavement of Hwy 28. Also included is installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation controls, compliance with applicable permit conditions, cleanup, final stabilization, and marking and capping of the casing pipe for future installation of a new 4” force main under a separate future project.
