Description | **As of January 23, 2023 this project has been awarded to Golden Bay Construction, Inc, in the amount of $1,561,960.50. As of January 11, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 17, 2023. The work will consist of, but is not limited to, providing and installing approximately 610 linear feet of new 8-inch fusible HDPE gravity recycled water pipe by horizontal directional drill operations, 900 linear feet of new 8-inch gravity recycled water pipe by open trench, 14 new manhole structures, two recycled water package pump stations with electrical and process instrumentation systems, 630 linear feet of new 2-1/2-inch PVC recycled water force mains byopen trench, on- and off-site rehabilitation of approximately 580 linear feet of existing 18-inch to 48-inch CMP storm drain pipe using Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner, and grout repair of two 21-inch CMP storm drain concrete outfalls in accordance with the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Zone 7 encroachment permit, various related appurtenances, including traffic control, potholing operations, providing and implementing water pollution control measures, and landscape and site restoration for the Val Vista Park soccer field underdrain system. The Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner, and grout repair work for storm drain outfalls shall be completed by October 15, 2022. Project is located at Val Vista Community Park at the southeasterly corner of Johnson Drive and Stoneridge Drive intersection. The Engineer's cost estimate for the project is $1.75 million. There will be no pre-bid meeting held for this project. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by either cash, a cashier's check or a certified check, amounting to not less than ten percent of the bid, payable to the order of the City of Pleasanton or by a bond for that amount and payable in the form contained in this bid package. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a maintenance bond not less than ten percent (10%) of the contract price. The Contractor is responsible for reviewing the City of Pleasanton's City Bids website (and/or ebidboard.com) to ensure they have the latest addendums and utilize all updated documents issued through addendum. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the City's opening of bids. As provided in California Business & Professions Code Section 7028.15, the City has determined that at the time of bid, the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A General Engineering and/or C-34 Pipeline Contractor license. The Contractor's failure to possess the specified license shall render the Bid as non-responsive and shall act to bar award of the contract to any Bidder not possessing said license at the time of bid, unless exempted by federal or state law. Bidder and its Subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 of the Labor Code, subject to limited legal exceptions under Labor Code section 1771.1. This Contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations, pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4. At the successful Contractor's option, securities may be substituted for the required retention, in accordance with provisions of Section 22300 of California Public Contract Code. In accordance with California Labor Code Sections 1770 et seq., the Contractor shall pay general prevailing rate of per diem wages to all workers employed under this contract. The awarded Contractor shall comply with the requirements of the State of California's Standard Specification Code Section 7-1.01A(4) "Labor Nondiscrimination" under this contract. If interpretation is deemed necessary, then the question shall be addressed in writing and a clarification shall be given to all prospective Bidders through addenda. To allow time for issuance of addenda, questions shall only be accepted prior to seven (7) calendar days before the bid opening date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the City's judgment, the lowest responsive and responsible bid of a Bidder or group of Bidders. The City also reserves the right to waive any inconsequential omissions or discrepancies in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein. Costs for developing, submitting, and presenting bids are the sole responsibility of the Bidder and claims for reimbursement will not be accepted by the City.
