Kitchen Renovations and Addition at the Robert Treat Academy located in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Removal of all kitchen equipment, demolition of two (2) partition walls, replacement of the acoustical ceiling grid system, new lighting, and mechanical, installation of a new exhaust hood with suppression, relocation and addition of sprinkler heads, relocation and addition of new floor drains, a new grease trap, slab and tile repair, a 20’-0” by 8’-9” building addition to house a new walk-in box, associated site work, the acquisition and installation of new and existing kitchen equipment, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Any questions or requests for clarifications shall be submitted in writing to the Architect's office no later than Noon December 22, 2023 by emailing jwardlinzer@ssparchitects.com General Contractor/Additions and Alterations Each bidder must deposit with his Bid, a security in the amount of 5% of the overall Bid, in the form of a certified check or standard bid bond and subject to the conditions provided in Section B: "Instructions to Bidders". The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract and satisfactory in form, execution and sufficiency of surety. A non-collusion affidavit, certificate of pre-qualification, and affidavit as to total amount of uncompleted contracts must accompany each bid. All contractors are subject to background checks. Refer to Section B Instructions to Bidders for additional information. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of (60) sixty days.
