On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Number: AC-NHPP-G-081-1(075)N This project, located in Washington County, includes roadway improvements, fine milling and resurfacing of 0.28 miles of Maugans Ave, along with additional improvements of 0.07 miles of I-81 southbound Ramp M, 0.12 miles of Northbound Ramp K, and 0.09 miles of Southbound Ramp L. The posted speed limit for Maugan's Avenue is 35 mph, and the posted speed limit for Ramp K, Ramp L and Ramp M is 40 mph. The work will consist of the following: (a) Base widening of Maugan's Ave, Ramp K, Ramp L and Ramp M. (b) Traffic Signal Reconstruction on Ramp M. (c) Lighting and Signage Improvements. (d) Full depth patching on the shoulder of Maugan's Ave. (e) Associated storm drain along Maugan's Ave, Ramp K, Ramp L and Ramp M (g) Median reconstruction along Maugan's Ave. (f) Construction of 1 Bioretention (SWMFac No. 211393), 1 Bioswale (SWMFac No. 211394) and 1 Microbio Retention (SWMFac No. 211395). A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this contract. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
