East Sparta Lift Station Replacement

The construction required will consist of provision of all labor, equipment and materials necessary to replace the East Sparta Lift Station and approximately 2,400 feet of force main. The project also includes the installation of 3 new manholes, 76 feet of 8", 21 feet of 10" PVC SDR 35 and 226 feet of 8" SDR 26. The total estimated cost of construction is $1,377,405.00.The total contract duration is 210 calendar days. Failure to meet milestones will result in liquidated damages. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). Construction work shall be subject to prevailing wage rates established by the US Department of Labor, Davis-Bacon Act, as amended.Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; 2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. The Stark County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids that is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated.The Commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The Specifications contain a Bidder's Profile designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion.
