Description

The work of constructing City of Red Bay 2022 Road Resurfacing Project will be let under one Contract that includes various areas. Each area will be considered based on its overall cost. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Road Resurfacing along Gober Drive, Bates Drive; Marie Drive; 10th Street N.E.; Second Street S. W.; Misc. Road work in the Brookwood Subdivision and Three (3) Alley Way Locations. Principal Work: 1. 1 LS Mobilization (Per Site) 2. 4,300 Gal. Tack Coat 3. 3,460 Ton Bituminous Concrete Wearing Surface Layer, Leveling & Patching 4. 1,100 Ton Bituminous Concrete Surface Layer 5. 2,000 SY 1.5"- 2" Milling 6. 4.6 Mile Solid Traffic Stripe 7. 150 SQ FT Traffic Control Markings 8. 1 LS Erosion Control (Per Site) 9. 1 LS Cleanup, Seeding & Mulching (Per Site) 10. 11 EA Manhole Cover Reset 11. 22 EA Valve Box Reset (Per Site) 12. 1 LS Traffic Control No Bid will be withdrawn after the time for opening has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving Bids The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any information in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 60 working calendar days for all areas combined and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages.
