Description

These Bids Will Be Submitted for Approval at the Meeting of the District Board on December 15th, 2022. All Bids Must Be Submitted in a Sealed Envelope Addressed to the Northeast Mississippi Regional Water Supply District. Each Sealed Envelope Containing a Bid Must Be Plainly Marked on the Outside as "bid for Phosphate to Be Opened December." Bid Prices Will Be F.o.b. To the Northeast Mississippi Regional Water Treatment Plant, 5590 Hwy 178 West, Fulton, Ms 38843. The Northeast Mississippi Regional Water Supply District Reserves the Right to Accept Alternate Bids in the Event the Primary Supplier is Unable to Provide Product as Specified. Phospate Must Be Ansi/nsf Standard 60 Approved. All Vendors Shall Provide Certificate of Ansi/nsf Standard 60 Approvals. This Shall Be Submitted With Your Bid. The Bid Shall Be on a Bulk Basis and Material Shall Meet the Following Specifications. PHOSPHATE Product shall be a mixture containing no metals and shall be minimum 88% total phosphate by weight. Product shall be a blend of potassium and sodium ortho/phosphate salts. The ratio shall be 1:1 to 2:1 poly to ortho. The successful bidder must furnish coldroll mild steel {C-1010} coupons and two by-pass racks in the distribution system. Corrosion test from the coupon racks will be administered by Veolia Water - but the cost of the coupons and testing shall be paid by the vendor. Technical assistance must be provided at least quarterly. Technical assistance is defined as reviewing corrosion coupons and any applicable test and provide recommended dosage rates for the district. Bidders shall have completed a successful pilot plant study using at least 50 lbs.of their product for testing in the district's process before bid acceptance. Delivery Product sizing shall be in 50 pound or 25-kg containers. Material shall be clean and uniform in composition. It shall be in a freeflowing condition when opened on receipt of shipment. Containers of product not meeting the above conditions shall be rejected. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING OF Phosphate shall conform to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Net weight error shall conform to the National Bureau of Standards. These NBS guidelines state a shipment shall contain no less than 98 percent of the stated weight. The product must not react adversely with existing corrosion control programs. Delivery Delivery shall be within 10 work- ing days of notification of order. Phosphate to Be Bid Deliv- Ered to the Plant Site in Pep- Pertown, Mississippi. Delivery Times Recongnized at the Plant Will Be Monday - Friday, 8 Am to 4 Pm. Size of Orders Will Be Based on Available Storage at the Plant. All Prices Shall Be for Bulk Quantities and Said Prices Shall Remain Constant for a Period of Three Calen- Dar Months, January 1st , 2023 Thru March 31st, 2023, Following the Acceptance of the Bids. The District Shall Not Recognize Any Modifications to the Price of the Chemicals During Quarter, Including but Not Limited to Fuel Surcharges and Other Charges. Invoices Received After The Third Wednesday of the Month, Will Be Paid the Following Month. The District Reserves The Right to Reject Any and All Bids.
