Base Rock and Aggregate Material

The City of San Jose is soliciting responses from qualified vendors to supply Base Rock and Aggregate Material, as required by the Department of Transportation. Due to the "will call" requirement of this solicitation where City Staff will pick up merchandise at the selected vendor location, bidders are required to be located within 30 miles of the City of San Jose border. Do not include sales tax in your solicitation response. The City will work with the selected vendor to establish the applicable tax for contract award. Any quantities specified herein are the City's best estimate of the quantities that will be purchased; however, they are not guaranteed. Any variations from these estimated quantities shall not entitle the bidder to an adjustment in unit pricing or rates. The City may award by line item, lot, or overall lowest cost after application of local business and small business preferences, if applicable. The City's Local and Small Business Enterprise (LBE/SBE) Preference is applicable to this solicitation. If your business has an office in Santa Clara County and a valid City of San Jose Business Tax Certificate, then you should refer to the solicitation documents for further information on applying for this preference. This preference may not be requested after the solicitation closing date/time.
