Construction Inspection Services for Roadway and Bridge Reconstruction from MP 324 to 326

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain an engineering or construction management firm to provide open-end construction inspection services for the Roadway and Bridge Reconstruction from Milepost (MP) 324 to 326. This project involves the widening and reconstruction of approximately two (2) miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike from the Valley Forge Road Overhead Bridge (MP 324.5) to the Valley Forge Interchange (MP 326.2) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. The existing four (4) lane roadway with a 10-foot median and 12-foot wide shoulders will be converted into a six (6) lane facility with three (3) 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, a 26-foot wide median, and 12-foot wide outside shoulders. The project also includes the replacement of three (3) mainline bridges carrying the Turnpike over local and state roads (including SR 0422), lengthening of culverts, construction of sound walls, and the construction of stormwater management facilities and other drainage improvements throughout the project limits. Only one construction contract is anticipated for this work. Note: Construction management services for the construction contract will be provided by others through an already existing consultant agreement.
