Description | The City is seeking qualified bidders to renovate the existing shell into 4 separate office spaces by installing new walls (2x4 metal stud construction covered with 1/2 " sheetrock and painted approved color), a new drop ceiling, HVAC ductwork, relocating sprinkler heads, drywall, electrical, data lines, smoke and fire alarm equipment, doors and hardware, and badge reader. In addition, the successful Bidder will be responsible for the construction of a 13' wall (same as above) in the existing day room, as well as framing for the sliding wall; details to be provided at the pre-bid meeting. All materials and equipment furnished for this job shall be in current production and shall be of quality material. Used, shopworn, demonstrator, prototype, reconditioned, or discontinued equipment or materials are not acceptable. To renovate prior classroom space into four (4) separate administrative office spaces at Central Fire Station, 289 Main Street, Bangor, Maine. Generally speaking, the renovation work will consist of finishing the existing shell into a workable space by installing new walls, a new drop ceiling, HVAC ductwork, relocating sprinkler heads, drywall, electrical, data lines, smoke and fire alarm equipment, doors and hardware, and badge reader. The office space renovation will be a turnkey project. Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, July 18, 2023. The City of Bangor reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or defects in bids, or to accept a higher cost bid if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bangor. The City also reserves the right to negotiate with the successful Bidder.
