Description

The project consists of the demolition of the existing Tara Estates wastewater pumping station dry well and generator; installation of underground suction piping and building footing; installation of pre-cast building; installation of suction-lift pumps, standby engine, station plumbing, and controls; repair and coating of existing wetwells; and reconnection to the existing forcemain. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Questions: Shall be submitted via email to parodi.griffin@wseinc.com. Questions must be submitted no later than Thursday July 14, 2022. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Only General Contractors that have been pre-qualified with the City of Rochester, NH, via Bid No. RFQ 22-41 are eligible to submit bids. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 270 calendar days for substantial completion. 300 calendar days for final completion Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1,000.00, for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $1,000.00 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of his Bid. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF). The following requirements will apply Utilization of Minority and Womens Business Enterprises (MBEs and WBEs). The successful Bidder on this work must demonstrate compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's MBE/WBE rule in order to be deemed a responsible bidder. The requirements for bidders and contractors covered by this rule are explained in the Information for Bidders. The successful Bidder on this work is subject to U.S. Department of Labor's Davis Bacon wage provisions. The successful bidder on this work is subject to the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements of the CWSRF and DWSRF programs. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 75 days after the actual date of opening thereof
