Description

Round #2 This round consists of Bench NS Field Testing activities at MWS wastewater treatment facilities. Vendor's costs associated with Field Testing activities are at the vendor's expense. MWS will not reimburse vendors for material, labor, or other costs associated with Field Trials. Costs for laboratory testing, MWS staff labor, and use of MWS equipment during Field Testing activities will be covered by MWS. Scheduling Scheduling for Bench Testing is as followed: Polydyne, Inc- August 9, 2022 Tidewater Products, Inc- August 10, 2022 Bench Testing will start at CWWTP Biosolids Facility begin at 7:00 AM. Bench Testing will move to Dry Creek Facility in the afternoon once testing at CWWTP is completed. Addresses to both locations are as followed: CWWTP Biosolids Facility - 1810 Cement Plant Rd, Nashville, TN 37208. Contact - Taft McNeal 615-294-7509. Contact- Aaron Thomas - 615-487-8872 Bench Testing (Phase 2a) Prior to FullScale Field Trials, vendors must perform Bench Testing and conduct on-site bench scale jar testing for each application at each facility. On-site bench testing (jar tests) will be performed on feedstock(s) to solids handling process equipment at each facility including: Sludge thickening processes Dissolved Air Flotation Tank (DAFT) at CWWTP Biosolids Facility Gravity Belt Thickener (GBT) at DCWR Sludge dewatering processes Centrifuge at CWWTP Biosolids Facility Belt Filter Press (BFP) at DCWRF Vendors will be given four hours at each facility to conduct bench testing. Bench scale testing will be witnessed by a representative of MWS and the Moderator. Vendors will be provided with a spreadsheet for the facilities with columns for: a listing the products that will tested, the properties of each polymer (cationic concentration, specific gravity, total solids, molecular weight, etc.) a listing of the different polymer concentrations and amounts tested sample size and total solids concentration of the material being tested test run times jar testing apparatus mixer speeds test results for each jar test other miscellaneous testing information . Only products that have been bench tested can be included in the vendor's proposed Full-Scale Field Trial work plan. Full-Scale Field Trials (Phase 2b) Field Trials will be conducted on MWS's sludge thickening and dewatering process equipment at each of the two facilities. Each vendor invited to participate in Field Trials must provide a Work Plan for review by MWS and Metro's Moderator which will include (at a minimum): List of all materials and personnel proposed for Field Trials (at each facility) Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each chemical/material proposed to have on-site during Field Trials (whether or not scheduled for use during trials) Initial mixing, dosing, and feed rates for proposed polymer to be used during set-up The Work Plan must be reviewed and approved by MWS prior to commencement of mobilization onto site by vendor. Field Testing will be scheduled after the conclusion of Bench Testing. See the attached Bench Testing and Field Test Information and Scope of Work . Round #3 (If applicable) - Requirements TBD. The objective of this solicitation is to enter into an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.
