Citywide Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project

The project consists of the installation of pedestrian safety improvements at 8 intersections throughout the city, including a new traffic signal, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHB), and a Pedestrian Activated Yellow Flashing Beacon (PAYFB). The Contractor shall furnish all new and unused equipment and supplies, and perform all work necessary to install and test the complete communication interconnect cable network between all specified points, install local intersection controllers, vehicle detector loops, conduit, interconnect wiring, intersection signal wiring and equipment, foundations, traffic poles, geometric striping work, install curb ramps and all civil work shown and do all other work as specified in these Special Provisions and shown in the Plans. The Contractor shall furnish, as part of this contract, all the items specified in the Exhibits. The items indicated in the Exhibits may be revised upon the discretion of the Engineer.
