Description | Anchorage's historical properties are in need of renovations to help protect the structures, increase safety features for users, and install modern, efficient heating systems. Anchorage's Centennial Celebration was in 2015; continued renovations for future celebrations are imperative so these historic buildings can be preserved and receive heightened public appreciation and attention during heritage events. Designated Anchorage historic properties are in need of renovations for adequate preservation and protection of the aging structures. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2024.
