Maillet Sommes and Morgan Constructed Wetland

The scope of work includes constructing wetlands located at the Maillet Sommes and Morgan Conservation area. Work included to all clearing, grubbing, earthwork, grading, drainage utility work, paving, pathways, boardwalks, stone walls, retaining walls, signage, planting and all other necessary work need to complete the project. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid, Minimum Wage Rates under the provisions of the MGL, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest Questions from perspective Bidders are due by Thursday, April 6, 2023 @ 5:00PM. Supply all materials and install the improvements shown on the drawings for the MAILLET, SOMMES AND MORGAN CONSTRUCTED WETLAND, READING, MASSACHUSETTS including, but not limited to: a. Provide general site work; b. Provide demolition of existing pavement and other features as shown on the plans; c. Install erosion and sediment controls; d. Provide traffic management for work in and near public streets in consultation with the Engineer and Town; e. Excavate and dewater as shown on the plans; f. Install drainage components, including, but not limited to structures and piping; spillways, channel and forebays; and retaining walls; g. Construct access driveway, and parking lot; h. Install various site amenities, pathways and boardwalks; i. Provide fine grading for disturbed areas ready for loam and seed. j. Spread loam and seed. k. Install plants. l.
