MIDDLE SCHOOL - Access for this work will be from the rear service road – see logistics plan. Renovation work at the STEAM lab will start April 1 and continue through the end of summer. The technology room renovations will start June 27th . The STEAM lab is an entire gut demolition of the interior space. There is new steel structure to create a partial second floor of the STEAM lab which will split into two separate workspaces when completed. The first floor will host two “walled” classrooms and then a larger space that will have three separate work areas. The existing technology room renovations will also be a gut demolition and renovation of the entire space, to be converted into a music room and computer/CAD room. The sitework includes demolition of the existing asphalt and reconstruction of stormwater structure, the asphalt road, sidewalks, lawn space, and concrete stairs. There will also be some excavation by the building down to the footing to expose the foundation wall which is to be water proofed and backfilled. HIGH SCHOOL - The locker room renovations consist of demolition of all the lockers and replacing with new. There is some minor MEP work associated. The classroom renovations require abatement, this work cannot be done until June 27th. The classrooms are to receive new UV’s that will heat and cool the classrooms. The Kitchen and Lobby areas are to have ceiling and flooring renovations. And the roof is to be demolished and replaced with new. BUSINESS OFFICE - The bid schedule reflects the phasing and overall construction schedule for renovations at the Business Office. Majority of work is Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing. The General Contractor shall perform demolition of ceilings and walls for access by the MEP trades. SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE - The bid schedule reflects the phasing and overall construction schedule for renovations at the Superintendent’s Office. Majority of work is Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing. The General Contractor shall perform demolition of ceilings and walls for access by the MEP trades.
