Irrigation Rust Prevention

Irrigation rust prevention system at Shenandoah Park, located at 14601 SW.W. 14 Street. The 100-gallon tank shall be filled with FERROQUEST (or approved equal type product) to control iron problems, scale forming salts and provide a barrier protection to metal surfaces. The irrigation system waters all areas inside the park. The following services shall be included: A. Monthly dispensing of chemical into the tank: Contractor shall dispense chemical into the tank. B. Monthly visual inspection: Contractor shall inspect the area for rust when the tank is filled. C. Quarterly testing of the irrigation water: Quality of water shall to be tested by contractor because of water changes. When applicable, the application rate shall be adjusted by contractor. D. Contractor shall remove of any rust stains, should staining occur, as needed. at any time that rust is present, the contractor shall remove stains from building walls, sidewalks and curb areas.
