Description

The city of Lawrence Office of Planning and Development seeks qualified Massachusetts licensed deleading contractors and housing rehabilitation contractors to provide bids to property owners receiving assistance through the city of Lawrence. In order to bid on projects contractors must be pre-qualified. All lead abatement activities will be performed according to both state (Commonwealth of Massachusetts M.G.L. c. 111 sections. 189A-199B, 105 C.M.R. section 460 et seq./105 CMR 460 and 454 CMR 2200) and federal (Title X ­ Federal Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 and the resulting legislation there under) The lead abatement contractor will be solely responsible for remedial work and costs involved if dust levels do not achieve clearance criteria. The collection and analysis in the HUD interim guidelines to ensure the units are safe before they are re-occupied. Deleading contractors and housing rehabilitation contractors must also have current Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License, Deleading Contractor license, Registered Home Improvement Contractor, 10 Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training, and the city of Lawrence contractor application.
