Description

**As of January 27, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 7, 2023 during the City Council Meeting.** Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the City of Omaha on the following project(s):Papillion Creek WRRF Biosolids and Energy Improvements 2022 All bidders are required to comply with the Omaha Contract Compliance Program. Details of this program are incorporated in the bid documents. As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council. Questions regarding this project may be directed to (402) 444-5220. The construction of two 1.5 million-gallon, conical bottom thermophilic digesters. The installation of all pumping and mixing equipment and piping. A new Digester Control Unit will be constructed that will house new equipment associated with the thermophilic digesters including, but not limited to, pre-heating heat exchangers, heat recovery heat exchangers, cooling heat exchangers, hot water pumps, cooling water pumps and all other associated equipment and piping. A connecting passage and pipe gallery will be constructed to join the basement level of the Digester Control Unit and the thermophilic digesters. The construction of a new tunnel section that will connect the basement level of Digester Control Unit and the existing tunnel system. Within this new tunnel section will be an airlock to maintain physical separation between new and existing facilities to comply with current code. The removal of the existing Digester Complex 901 flare and construction of a new flare. The construction of a new Cogeneration (CoGen) Building that will house two 2,500 kW, dual fuel engines with heat recovery. The three existing CoGen engines that are located in Digester Complex 900 will be demolished along with associated mechanical, process, electrical structural and architectural components. All remaining associated electrical components in the existing north control room in Digester Complex 900 will be relocated to the new Digester Complex 900 MCC Room. Site excavation and grading will be performed, and a new site drainage system will be constructed on the northern part of the plant site. All remaining site, structural, process, electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety and instrumentation & control associated with the construction of the proposed buildings and site piping per the Contract Documents.
