Description

For Rich Highway (SR 219) Waterline Replacement The work to be performed consists of the installation of 3,600 L.F. of 6-inch and 12-inch diameter HDPE waterline by horizontal directional drilling and all required appurtenances. The project is located along Rich Highway (SR 219) in Sandy Township, Clearfield County. Bidding Documents including plans and specifications are on file and open for inspection at the Township office, 1094 Chestnut Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) and at the offices of Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA, 16602 and may be examined or requested between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Phone 814-943-5214, Fax 814-943-8494. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Prevailing Minimum Wages in accordance with the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check, or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the Sandy Township Supervisors, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a "Performance Bond" and a "Payment Bond," each of said bonds to be in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 5 70 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the Township of Sandy. No bids may be withdrawn, except when the Bidder(s) comply with the withdrawal requirements of Act No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655, as amended.
