Description | Conceptual Design for Sidewalk Along Peeler Road at Multiple (2) Locations. The City of Dunwoody is seeking to add sidewalk to the following locations along Peeler Road. 1. Along the eastern/southern side of Peeler Road from Huntington Hall to Equestrian Way. 2. Along the northern side of Peeler Road from Tilly Mill Road to Lakeside Drive. The city's typical section generally consists of a 2-foot minimum landscape buffer, with 4-foot preferred where feasible, and a 6-foot concrete sidewalk. Bike lanes shall be maintained where they currently exist. The proposed drainage network will need to be sketched in for informational and cost estimating purposes only, but the consultant shall plan on placing outfalls at logical positions throughout the corridor. The selected design engineering firm shall develop one concept level layout for each of the above mentioned locations with approximate limits and right of way or easement requirements using the City's latest Geographic Information System (GIS) data as well as a detailed cost estimate utilizing Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Pay Item Index. GIS Data will be provided to the selected consultant. This data includes, but not limited to, roadway centerlines, aerial imagery, topography, property lines, and existing stormwater infrastructure. Other items may be digitized into the best of the consultant's ability include existing fencing and utility poles. The City would like to limit right of way and easement acquisition for this project; however, understands there could be a need for it. As such, the concept plan should include the use of gravity retaining walls where feasible to minimize right of way impacts. The concept plan should also identify potential areas for right of way and easement purchases. Please include a project kick off meeting with City staff in your quote as well asintermediate deliverables at the 30% and 80% development stage to allow City staff to review and comment. The City is seeking a 60 day project schedule. These 60 days would commence at notice to proceed. Final deliverables to include a concept plan on aerial and project cost estimate (construction cost line items referencing GDOT Pay Items, approximate area for right of way and easements, stream mitigations, etc).
