Removal of Hard and Soft Marine Growth Services in San Diego

Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, dump or disposal fees, travel and incidentals, as needed for removal of selected areas of marine growth. This includes any boat or watercraft, and pilots, as necessary for transport of personnel, or equipment, or for use as staging areas at the piers. The Bridge (57-0875) requires removal of hard and soft marine growth from selected concrete support pilings, to allow for underwater structural inspections as mandated by Federal requirements (23 CFR 650). Cleaning shall consist of removal of marine growth and other foreign material in multiple bands, on selected support pilings and along crack paths and /or other specified area as determined by Caltrans Underwater Inspection Team Representative (Caltrans TR). Bidder (prime contractor) shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current Class A Engineering Contractor License issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). All dive team members (primary or subcontractor) shall possess at the time of bid, a valid and current Commercial Diver Certification card issued by the Association of Commercial Divers International (ADCI). This includes but is not limited to current diver certifications for the work being conducted, current fit to dive medical certification, current First Aid/CPR/AED and O2 Administration certification. All Certifications must remain active for the duration of the Agreement. Membership with the ADCI is encouraged but is not required.
