Sherwood Pump Station Upgrade and Rock Quarry Pump Station Decommissioning

The project involves upgrades to the existing Sherwood Pump Station (PS) including mobilization and demobilization, site clearing, site staking, excavation and grading, bypass tee installation, bypass pumping, demolition of facilities to be removed, rehabilitation of the existing grinder chamber, wet well, and valve vault, installation of new grinder with guide rail system, installation of two new submersible pumps and wet well piping for two pumps plus a future third pump, modifications to the valve vault piping, modifications to the site force main piping, installation of a new steel frame masonry building for the new second stage pump system and electrical equipment, installation of piping and valves for three (two current and one future) second stage pumps, installation of two second stage pumps, installation bridge crane, installation of hydropneumatic surge tank, installation of flow meter and vault, installation of electrical and control equipment, installation of diesel engine generator, site yard piping and valves, site concrete paving, site fencing, a concrete access driveway, finish grading, erosion control and site stabilization, and all related appurtenances for a complete and functioning system. The work also includes decommissioning of the existing Rock Quarry PS including installation of approximately 200-feet of 14-inch diameter ductile iron force main, connection of new force main to the existing Sherwood FM and Rock Quarry FM, installation of thrust restraints, demolition of the existing Rock Quarry PS, site restoration with sod and permanent grassing, erosion and sedimentation control, and all related appurtenances for a complete and functioning system.
