Description | The Cleveland Public Library ("Owner") is seeking qualifications statements for construction manager at risk services for the Glenville Branch Renovation and Expansion Project ("Project"). Pre-Proposal Conference. A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held at 12:00 Noon on February 8, 2023 at the Owner's Glenville branch located at 11900 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio Firms interested in responding to this RFQ are encouraged to visit the Owner's Glenville branch, located at 11900 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio during open hours to gain familiarity with the Project Site. Firms with questions about this RFQ or the scope of the Project should submit questions in writing to the Owners Chief Operating Officer, John Lang, by email at john.lang@cpl.org no later than 4:00PM on December 30, 2022. The Project consists of renovating and potentially constructing an addition to an existing 11,800 square foot library branch that was built in 1980 and is located at 11900 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. The Project may include, without limitation, such services as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, handicap accessibility, roofing, concrete, and other items as described in the Construction Documents to be produced by the Project's architectural/engineering design team. It will also include coordination of all in-scope work with the work self-performed by the Library including direct purchasing, move out, and storage. The Project construction budget is approximately $5,675,000, inclusive of all Construction Manager's costs. The Construction Manager will be expected to manage, direct, and construct all phases of the Project, and will provide the following services: cost estimating, budgeting, value engineering, scheduling, pre-construction planning, subcontract bidding and project safety, design-assist, and providing a guaranteed maximum price for each facility comprising the Project. The qualifications required for the Project include: competence to perform the required management services; ability in terms of workload and the availability of qualified personnel, equipment, and facilities; past performance; financial responsibility; history of performance with meeting subcontractor diversity goals; and other qualifications as described in the Request for Qualifications ("RFQ"). Detailed descriptions of the Project, the qualification criteria, services, and submission requirements are contained in the RFQ on file with the Owner. |
