Gallon Steel Single Pedestal Sphere Elevated Tank

For the following waterworks improvements: 100,000 Gallon Steel Single Pedestal Sphere Elevated Tank in Johnson City, Tennessee: The complete cleaning and repainting of the tank on the interior wet surfaces, the complete cleaning and repainting of the interior dry surfaces, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. Additional Work items include: repair of concrete and grout; furnishing and installation of project sign, cushion inserts and boots for antenna cable penetrations, flange and elastomeric check valve at discharge end of overflow pipe, insulation for inlet/outlet pipe, interior container ladder, ladder safe-climbing devices, deflector plate at platform access, roof safety railing toe bar extensions, clog-resistant roof vent, and brackets and fittings for a future cathodic protection system; including other miscellaneous repairs and incidental items. The Bidders attention is directed to the Detailed Technical Specifications for a complete description of the Work and the Project. Notice to Proceed for project is anticipated for on or after September 1, 2022. All materials furnished and labor performed incident to and required for the proper and satisfactory execution of the contracts shall be furnished and performed in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications, and any addenda thereto, prepared by Tank Industry Consultants, 7740 West New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214, FAX 317/271-3300. Submitting a Bid on the forms that will be bound with the Contract Documents shall acknowledge that the tank and site have been inspected by the BIDDER or that the right to do so has been waived. The Bidder's attention is directed to the Agreement for Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages requirements. The Bidder's attention is directed to the General Conditions for the requirements of the Qualifications of Insurers and Sureties. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid or bids that are judged to be in the best interest of the City.
