Description

Front load container service will be provided for each location according to the need of that location. Klein ISD will not need a front load container pick up for the following dates: September 2, 2019, November 27, 28 29, 2019, December 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 2019, January 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 2020, and March 10, 11, 12, 13, 2020. The 107 front load containers to be provided for all locations are to be watertight containers with double overhead plastic or metal lids. No barrels will be accepted. All refuse and the contractor shall dump garbage picked up by the contractor at these locations. Contractor shall provide a general clean up at all sites during each pick up. In the event there is an excess accumulation of refuse at anytime regardless of cause, the custodial staff will place excess refuse in a secure location near the trash container but not to obstruct the service of the container. Immediately after the container has been emptied, the custodian will place excess refuse in the container so that the company may dump the container a second time. The contractor will not pick up any tires. Contractor will provide a pick up service on Saturdays when needed and requested. Contractor will provide a 24-hour emergency pick up service. All trucks will be radio dispatched and equipped with front-end loaders or roll off where needed. All front load containers will be maintained in a sanitary condition during the service contract. The successful bidder shall maintain fully staffed office with communication system in all vehicles to assure prompt service in the event of an emergency. Front load containers will be new or reconditioned and painted at the start of the service contract. Containers will be replaced at any time during the school year as required to meet district standards. All 8 cubic yard containers will have two sliding door entries with metal or plastic top lids. All 6 cubic yard containers will have two fold back plastic lids with front angle entry for easy access. All 4 cubic yard containers will have two fold back plastic lids with front angle entry for easy access. All trucks used will be self-contained and water tight. Leaks of any type will not be permitted. This is a sample of Summer School Schedule: Daily trash container pick up will be necessary for a period of six weeks each summer at one high school, one intermediate school and possibly one elementary school due to the summer school schedule. In addition there may be one intermediate and five elementary schools that need service the first three weeks of the summer. Multiple awards may be made on this bid if in the best interest of Klein ISD.
