2020 Roadway Paving and Reconstruction Project - Phase III

The project generally consists of concrete, roadway paving / reconstruction and utility improvements to Avon Way and Stradford Road located within the Borough of Sayreville. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance and protection of traffic; cutting and removal of existing trees, installation of new street trees; installation of approximately 300 lineal feet +/- of 12" diameter PPT underdrain; installation of approximately 120 lineal feet +/- of 12" diameter RCP Class V storm sewer pipe reaches; construction of approximately 6 +/- new inlet structures; reconstruction of approximately 6 +/- existing storm sewer inlet structures of various types; extending existing roof leader drains to new curb; furnishing and installation of new fire hydrant assembly, removal and replacement of existing fire hydrant including connection to existing pipe runout and all appurtenances; removal / replacement of approximately 30 +/- of existing water service curb boxes; resetting of existing utility manhole castings and water main / hydrant valve boxes; removal of approximately 3,700 lineal feet +/- of existing concrete curb and monolithic concrete curb / gutter; removal of approximately 16,000 square feet +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approximately 3,700 lineal feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete curb, approximately 120 lineal feet +/- of new standard County concrete curb, approximately 12,000 square feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalk; approximately 500 square feet +/- of new standard County concrete sidewalk and approximately 4,000 square feet +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and aprons; furnishing / installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt driveways; cutting / removal of approximately 7,500 square yards +/- of existing roadway asphalt pavement; installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approximately 2,700 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material; resurfacing the entire roadways with approximately 800 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface course material; application of approximately 1,000 lineal feet +/- of traffic pavement stripes / markings (4" wide lines); application of fire hydrant pavement markings (symbols); furnishing / installation of topsoil and sod; right-of-way / property restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
