If bid price is over $50,000, you MUST submit a payment and performance bond if awarded a project. If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid. Each Bidder must include in their Bid the premium cost for the performance and payment Bond in the full amount of their contract, when the project is over $50,000. If the Bidder fails to furnish the performance bond within seven (7) days after acceptance of the Bidder's Bid, by the Board, the Bid acceptance maybe rescinded and the Bidder maybe precluded from further Bidding with the Board. The performance Bond must be issued by a surety acceptable to the Board and Licensed by the State of Illinois.
