Reconstruction of City Alleys at Various Locations

Generally, the work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for reconstructing approximately 2,200 square yards of asphalt alley surface, including the installation of approximately 550 tons of hot-mix asphalt at (2) locations in the City of Durango All work shall be done under the supervision and inspection of the City Project Manager or assigned agent. Any deviation from the standard specifications shall be approved, in writing, in advance. Any deviation from the standard specifications without prior authorization shall result in the immediate suspension of work, and possible termination of contract. The scheduled work period is tentatively (weather permitting) set for June 6 - October 28, 2022, unless otherwise agreed upon by both the City of Durango, and the Successful Contractor. Project sites and specifications for each area: A1. West 100 block between 28th St and 29th St : Remove the existing asphalt and base material to a depth of -4”. Re-grade and compact base material to establish a consistent >2% inverted slope. Repave with two - 2” lifts of hot mix asphalt mat . The south end of this project shall drain to 28th street. Project area is approximately 1, 100 SY – 275 Tons of asphalt. A2. 900 block Alley between 5th and 6th Avenue: Remove the existing asphalt and base material to a depth of -4”. Re-grade and compact base material to establish a consistent >2% inverted slope. Repave with two - 2” lifts of hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 1,100 SY – 275 Tons of asphalt.
