Description

Flooding of the Sauk River has caused erosion of the river bank adjacent to SR 530. The roadway section from MP 58.90 to 58.96 (Section C) is determined to be an emerging threat. The recommended repair consists of placing logs along the toe of the bank and ballasting with large rock. As of July 27, 2022, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020. The contract advertisement is expected in Fourth quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the Forth quarter of 2023. WSDOT - SR 530/Sauk River Roadway Embankment - Stabilization Top *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
