Description

Construct a new City Clerks' Office Building and to demolish the old facility. This project is to be completed in successive Phases. The intent is that the existing Tarpon Springs City Clerk’s Office is to remain fully operational until the new building is completed, receives a Certificate of Occupancy and the User Group has moved in and taken full ownership. Phases I and II are to construct the new building and southern parking lot, respectively, then Phase III is to demolish the existing building and complete the northern parking lot. The Tarpon Springs City Clerk’s Office has many utility, electrical, security and communication connections to the Tarpon Springs City Hall that must be properly coordinated. Construction laydown, staging, access, temporary fencing, Contractor’s trailer (including temporary power usage), and dumpster etc. locations are also to be coordinated with the Owner and Architect prior to start of work as the site is currently occupied and fully operational. With the site being occupied and fully operational, the Contractor shall take care to coordinate all utility shutdowns and connections with the Owner and Architect while giving proper notice as stated in the 100% Contract Specifications. The means and methods remain the responsibility of the Contractor, yet they should be communicated to the Owner and Architect on a regular basis. The site is to be protected with erosion control as shown in the 100% Contract Drawings along with reusing wheel stops if in good condition and removing striping as called for. Utilities are to be relocated, removed and plugged or provided new as shown.
