Description | The Pike County Judicial Center, hereinafter referred to as the project is a complex consisting of a Courts Building, County Detention Facility, Logistics Building and Impound Lot with Pole Barn. The Courts Building will be approximately 44,844 square feet and house four courtrooms and various entities. The Detention Facility will be approximately 47,866 square feet which includes detention staff facilities. The construction of the Judicial Facility will consist of concrete slab on grade, composite steel frame, second floor concrete deck supported by open web steel joists, metal stud wall framing throughout and a standing seam metal roofing system supported by metal deck, steel beams, and joist system. The construction of the Detention Facility will consist of concrete slab on grade and the implementation of concrete stem walls. The exterior and interior walls will be constructed of concrete masonry units with security reinforcing at the perimeter. The housing units will be constructed of pre-engineered precast concrete single cell and dormitory modules complete with detention hardware and furnishing along with a unified Security Electronics system. The security roof will be precast concrete planks and the ceiling plenum will be enclosed by an insulating standing seam retrofit roofing system. Fades for the buildings will include, precast concrete, brick veneer, aluminum composite wall panels, GFRC and pre-finished metal wall panels. In order to pre-qualify, the bidders work experience must be primarily General Contracting. Specialty contractors will not be allowed to bid as a General Contractor. The General Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance and sub contractor services for construction of a complete facility. |
