Boone County Water Main Expansion Group C - Contract A

The Boone County Fiscal Court has indicated its desire to pursue the further extension of public water service in currently unserved areas of the County. This builds upon past projects to extend water service throughout the County. The County is funding the expansion project and has partnered with the Boone County Water District and the design team at RA Consultants to produce construction documents for the project. This Invitation to Bid is intended to identify a contractor to complete all facets of the construction of the desired water main lines. Question Submission Deadline:January 3, 2024, 5:00 pm Question Response Deadline:January 5, 2024, 5:00 pm This project consists of the installation of approximately 10,660 LF of 8" watermain and appurtenances, including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. A bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted (electronically) with each bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one- hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the state of Kentucky to provide said surety. All requests for clarifications, changes, exceptions, deviations to the terms and conditions set forth in this bid package must be submitted via the County Electronically The Final day for receipt of questions from bidders shall be on or before 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. To ensure fairness and avoid misunderstandings, all communications must be in electronic format and submitted Electronically . Any verbal communications will not be considered. All questions received by the due date will be logged, and reviewed, and if required, a response will be provided via an addendum to the bid package that will be posted Electronically . Any communications, whether written or verbal, with any County elected official or County staff with regards to project details and scope prior to award of a contract is strictly prohibited and the bidder shall be disqualified from consideration. Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modifications of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price.
