Description | The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: renovation of an educational facility. As of January 25, 2023, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Horizon Middle School Re-Roof Project Roofing Bid, Kearney, NE Ladies/Gentlemen: BD Construction Inc. of Kearney has been pre-selected as the Construction Manager for the Horizon Middle School Reroof project. We are soliciting Bid proposals for a roofing subcontractor to perform the scope of work as listed below on for the Horizon Middle School Re-roof project. The project located at the Kearney Public Schools Horizon Middle School site includes the following: General Scope of work includes removing and replacing the existing roof at the Horizon Middle School. Specific Roofing Subcontractor Scope: Removing the existing roof and replacing with new (approx. 112,000 sf of TPO, coverboard, polyiso insulation, scuppers, gutters) as shown on the preliminary drawings. Include extending membrane up and over new extended parapets, as well as new prefinished metal cap flashing. Existing RTUs will be removed and replaced on new roof curbs (this work by others) - roofers include flashing and roofing related work. Include fall protection. The project will need to be phased, and the successful bidder will have input into the phasing plan. The successful bidder will also have to be flexible in scheduling work to allow for work by others to proceed. The roofing contractor will need to provide protection from weather for the roof and building throughout construction, Work to be done by others (not in roofing scope): Parapet construction (metal studs, GWB Sheathing, insulation, wood blocking, EIFS), removal and capping existing skylight openings, removal and replacement of damaged roof deck, and relocation / addition of roof drains. depending upon material lead times and availability. The project could start earlier if materials are available. This project will be managed by BD Construction as the Construction Manager, who will also be heavily involved within the scheduling of the project. Bids may be made on the Bidder s standard bid/proposal form. Include in the bid an add cost to provide performance and payment bonds. All proposals shall remain in effect for a period of Forty-Five (45) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of propos als. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all bids and to reject a bid not conforming to the bidding documents; or to reject a bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular and to waive any informalities in any proposal.
