Mowing - City Parks

1. The City of Palm Bay is requesting bids for mowing maintenance services at City Parks and adjacent areas. 2. Each mowing cycle shall consist of mowing maintenance of the entire park unless otherwise directed herein to include: a. curb edging, which is the vertical removal of any and all plant material which encroaches onto sidewalks (both sides), curbs, steps, driveways, and concrete areas; curb edging shall only be done every other cut cycle, no more than 13 times between May and October; b. weed and grass trimming around guardrails, poles, signs, fire hydrants, trees, shrubs, endwalls, flower beds, fence posts and other objects that may be located within the City Parks; c. sweeping/blowing sidewalks and streets of cut debris deposits left as the result of the Contractor’s activities. 3. Specific mowing exclusions: All athletic turf fields are excluded from this contract. See “Service Areas & Examinations of Sites” section. 4. Specific mowing inclusions: a. The Fire Rescue Headquarters building is included as part of the Liberty Park site. The awarded Contractor MUST alert the receptionist at the front desk of the Fire Rescue Headquarters building that they will be mowing the median between the parking lot at least five (5) minutes before mowing that segment to allow employees time to (optionally) move their vehicles.
