5th Avenue East North Water Main Replacement Project

Removal and Replacement of pipe, Asphalt Overlay, Rehab. and/or Maint., Fittings and Valves, Traffic Control, Grade and Surface, Fire Hydrant, Pavement Removal, Landscaping - Seeding, Waterlines The project consists of replacement of existing water main on 5th Avenue East North and includes the following major items: asphalt pavement removal, traffic control, abandonment of existing main, 8" PVC water main, water services, fire hydrant, fittings, asphalt surfacing, gravel surfacing, topsoil placement, and seeding. All Work, including vehicular traffic, shall immediately stop within a 50 ft. radius around the area of discovery. The Contractor shall ensure barriers are established to protect the area of discovery and notify the Engineer to contact the appropriate RD personnel. The Engineer shall engage a Secretary of the Interior (SOI) qualified professional archeologist to quickly assess the nature and scope of the discovery; implement interim measures to protect the discovery from looting and vandalism; and establish broader barriers if further historic and/or precontact properties, can reasonably be expected to occur.
