Description

The major elements associated with the construction of the project are: Bid Schedule A: Wastewater Improvements 17,000 square yards pulverize and salvage existing asphalt 7,000 square yards remove and salvage gravel surfacing 180 square yards of concrete removal 90 feet of concrete curb and gutter removal 3,023 feet of sanitary sewer service pipe 9,180 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main pipe 40 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main pipe directionally bored 2,130 feet of 10-inch sanitary sewer main pipe 52 sanitary sewer manholes 27 sewer main connections 206 sewer service connections 6,280 feet of 8-inch CIPP liner 17,600 feet of post televising inspection 1,010 feet of CMP culverts (12-inch to 42-inch) 13 storm sewer connections 72 culvert/inlet protection 100 feet of silt fence 100 square yards of erosion control mat 17,500 square yards of place and grade recycled base course 6,800 cubic yards of street excavation 5,000 tons of gravel base course or surfacing 3,100 tons of asphalt surfacing 17,500 square yards of geotextile separator fabric 123 square yards 6-inch concrete surfacing 344 square feet of 4-inch concrete sidewalk 90 feet of concrete curb and gutter 26,700 square yards of seeding Traffic control All related appurtenances to the aforementioned work Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Town of Tabor, South Dakota, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title 40 CFR 33 and Executive Order 12138. The goal for Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) on this project is one percent (1%) and the goal for Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) on this project is four percent (4%). The goals and other requirements for bidders and contractors under this regulation which concerns utilization of disadvantaged/minority business enterprises are explained in the Contract Documents. Bids may be held by the Town Board for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding and make awards to the Owner's best interest. DISADVANTAGED/MINORITY PARTICIPATION-1%
