Description

This project will move the Callville Bay water intake barge location to deeper water to allow for drinking water production at lake elevation of 950 feet above sea level with a minimum of 30-feet of water depth below the new barge location. A new barge will be provided, existing raw water transmittance lines will be extended to the new barge, existing electrical lines will be extended and upsized, an existing electrical transformer will be replaced with by a 3rd party power provider, and an existing standby generator will be replaced with new appropriately positioned generator. The barge relocation will also necessitate construction of a moored breakwater. The existing service road will be enhanced to provide access to the new transformer site. This project will also provide a UV reactor to eliminate Quagga mussel infestation of the water supply system. Additional scope includes temporary relocation of the existing barge to an appropriate distance to meet the seasonal low lake level. This relocation requires extension of the existing water and electrical lines to the barge. The increased length of electrical lines and resulting voltage drop will require the upgraded transformer, as mentioned above, to be completed at the time of the temporary barge relocation.
