Description

The project includes the following work locations: Location No. 1- Alley Maintenance: Approximately 400 feet of alley reconstruction will be performed providing a PCC pavement on an aggregate subbase. The east alley approach will also be reconstructed. Location No. 2- North Campus Infrastructure Repair: Approximately 400 feet of alley reconstruction will be performed providing a PCC pavement on an aggregate subbase. The east alley approach will also be reconstructed. Location No. 3-Curb and Gutter Repairs: Curb and gutter will be replaced at the designated intersections and accessible ramps will be provided. Location No. 4 –Brick Street Rehabilitation: Brick pavement patching will be performed. Sidewalk ramps will be reconstructed and deteriorated combination concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk will be removed and replaced. Location No. 5 – Market Street Pedestrian Safety: A marked crosswalk with ADA compliant curb ramps will be provided at the designated location on Market Street. Luminaires will be replaced between Bradley Avenue and Kenyon Drive. Location No. 6 – Town Center Pedestrian Safety: Roadway lighting will be constructed from Prospect Avenue to Ryder Lane. Curb ramps will be reconstructed at the Target entrance and a marked crosswalk with a median refuge will be constructed on the east leg of the intersection. A signal interconnect will also be provided between Prospect Avenue and Moreland Boulevard. Location No. 7 – Sidewalk Gap: Approximately 400 feet of sidewalk will be constructed on the west side of Stratford Drive from Kirby Avenue to north of Arden Drive. Location No. 8 – Traffic Signal Upgrades: The existing controller cabinet (and equipment) and the video detection system will be replaced at the Town Center Boulevard and Neil Street intersection. Audible pedestrian signals and pushbuttons will be provided at two locations: the intersection of Interstate Drive and Prospect Avenue and at the intersection of Town Center Boulevard and Prospect Avenue. Location No. 9 – Downtown Parking Lot Upgrades: The parking lot entrances at three locations will be reconstructed. Two of the three entrances to be reconstructed will include vertical gate systems for access control. Two other entrances will be fitted with manual swing gates.
