South Patrick Street Median Improvements - City of Alexandria

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Alexandria, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot. This project will design and construct corridor improvements on South Patrick Street between Jefferson Street and Wolfe Street. Improvements include a widened, tree-planted median, pedestrian refuge areas, upgraded curb ramps, and new pedestrian signals. These treatments were recommended in the 2018 South Patrick Street Housing Affordability Strategy and will help to improve pedestrian safety and access, calm traffic, provide a gateway into Alexandria, and aesthetically improve the corridor. The project is included in the City of Alexandria's FY 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 27, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
