Project Scope Summary: Construction firm that is capable of providing DESIGN-BUILD or DESIGN-BID-BUILD construction services to seismically upgrade and renovate eight buildings located at the New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS), Raymond G. Murphy Medical Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seismic upgrades to each building will require extensive structural work to reinforce the columns, strengthen or brace interior and exterior walls and parapets, and provide non-structural bracing to the building components. The structural seismic upgrades and associated scope exceeds over 50% of the total affected building area and in turn classifies each of the eight buildings as a major renovation. As a major renovation, any existing code deficiencies or VA standards that are not currently met must be brought up to current standards before occupancy of the space.
