Description | The contractor will remove and replace the existing topping slab at Fire Station #6. Any cracks discovered after the removal of the existing topping slab shall be repaired by routing and sealing with a two part urethane sealant and/or gravity fill with an epoxy depending on the existing field condition. Scope of Work – Base Bid 1. Protect all existing features to remain. 2. Remove existing topping slab to original elevated structural slab. 3. Remove the building felt used that separated the existing slabs. 4. Clean and vacuum all debris from structural slab. 5. Rout any existing cracks if discovered in structural slab and repair and seal. 6. Provide mechanical surface preparation/scarification to existing structural slab and around drains. 7. Pressure wash slab and clean existing drains. 8. Provide an approved means of bonding for the new topping slab to the structural slab. 9. Place high early strength concrete with fiber reinforcing-sloping to drains. 10. Saw-cut control joints. 11. Wet cure for required length. 12. Apply sealants and joint fillers as required. |
