Description | Shortlisted confirmed The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees, announces that services in the disciplines of construction management will be required for the project The project will consist of providing pre-construction and construction services for the Football Campus Projects. The six proposed UCFAA Football Campus Projects include: 1. Stadium South Tower (Bldg. #135 - addition/remodel/renovation) 2. Football Practice Field Relocation 3. McNamara Cove (Bldg. #363 - new building) 4. Parking and Plaza Expansion 5. Wayne Densch Sports Center Renovation (Bldg. #077 - addition/remodel/renovation) 6. Stadium North Seating Expansion (Bldg. #135 addition) A preliminary cost estimate has been developed for the projects and can be found in the building program listed above, however the overall project budget and individual project budgets may vary from this estimate based on final designs, scope, and sequencing. The project may be phased and the budget may be changed at UCF's discretion. This project is subject to the availability of funding The contract for construction management services will consist of two phases. Phase one is preconstruction services, the value of which will be negotiated with the selected firm. Phase one services include value engineering, constructability analyses, development of a cost model, estimating, and the development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) at 100% Construction Documents. If the GMP is accepted, phase two, the construction phase, will be implemented. In phase two of the contract, the construction manager becomes the single point of responsibility for performance of the construction of the project and shall publicly bid trade contracts. Failure to negotiate an acceptable GMP within the time provided in the agreement may result in the termination of the construction manager's contract. |
