Description

Project location is Main Street in the Borough of Califon, County of Hunterdon, State of New Jersey. The project limits are between the intersections of Philhower Avenue and Academy Street. The project length is approximately 1,577 linear feet (0.299 miles). The scope of work includes: construction of concrete curbs; construction of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons; storm drainage improvements; traffic signs; and, road reconstruction. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 500 linear feet of Portland cement concrete curb; 50 square yards of Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inch thick; 50 square yards of Portland cement concrete reinforced driveway aprons, six (6") inch thick; 5,000 square yards of asphalt milling; 2,000 tons of dense graded aggregate road base, six (6") inches thick; 1,300 tons of bituminous-stabilized based course, four (4") inches thick, mix HMA 19 M64; 700 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix HMA 9.5 M64; reconstruction of (12) storm inlets, including new castings; replacement of fifteen (15) traffic control signs; and, removal and disposal of approximately 1,500 cubic yards of unclassified road subbase materials.
